Earlier last week, we had an after work mushroom wander. 🍄The haul was good, the forest was wet, the mood was peak autumn. The fruiting body of fungi (mushrooms) are only the tip of an amazing organic network underneath our feet. We could reach to make some kind of likeness to the work we do here at Wirepas, but really, collecting mushrooms is cool enough to stand on its own. 👌

⚡ Europe is poised at an interesting crossroads. We know that something has to change when it comes to energy and the grid, but what?

"Power Line Communication (PLC) has been the primary connectivity method in early (smart meter) rollout phases, often combined with cellular networks in data concentrators (DCUs). However, as data requirements grow and electrical noise in power lines increases, PLC may struggle to provide reliable communication. To meet these challenges, additional support is needed. As a result, utilities are increasingly exploring wireless alternatives, complementing cellular with other emerging wireless technologies to ensure dependable data transmission."
