How much of a miners heat goes to waste? At our site, none.

The waste heat from our data center already covers around 6% of Seinäjoki’s district heating. Our closed water-based system transfers heat from water to water: the cooling water from the data center passes its heat to heat pumps, which upgrade it for the district heating network with exceptionally high efficiency. The same water circulates through the system again and again – no heat and no water goes to waste.

Waste heat isn’t a by-product. It’s a product.

Employee spotlight - Pekka

Pekka is responsible for coordinating MinersLoop’s construction and infrastructure projects, including managing schedules, deliveries, and cooperation between the various parties involved. His role also includes responsibility for the technical functionality of buildings and the maintenance of facilities. 🛠️

Pekka is additionally involved in the monitoring and development of heat production processes, such as heat pump systems.
He also serves on the Board of Directors of MinersLoop Oy and takes part in the company’s strategic decision-making.

Finland’s unique advantages make it a compelling location for sustainable energy-oriented data infrastructure. The country’s geopolitical position, one of the world’s most stable electricity grids, and highly developed district heating networks provide a strong foundation for integrating waste heat from high-performance data centers into existing energy systems - something that is difficult to replicate elsewhere.

Employee spotlight - Aleksi

As Chief Financial Officer at MinersLoop, Aleksi is responsible for the company’s finances, profitability, and financing. The company has strong growth targets, and Aleksi focuses his work on developing the growth strategy and monitoring its implementation, as well as ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day financial management. 
Aleksi’s passion for the data center business stems from his belief that data centers can play a significant role in growing and developing our country’s energy production by offering flexible demand for electricity, but also from a heat production perspective, by utilizing the thermal energy generated by the data center locally.  In his free time, Aleksi enjoys spending time outdoors, fishing or hunting, and spending time with his family and newborn son.
