Vitacam has teamed up with MedicubeX, a rapidly growing supplier of self-assessment booths, to bring contactless respiratory rate measurements to autonomous health assessments. As the result of the agreement, MedicubeX eHealth Stations becomes the first self-measurement kiosk to offer vital physiological measurements using an in-built camera.

Enthusiastic chatter and the smell of popcorn fill the air at Paviljonki for the first day of SOTE Atk-päivät 2022. We've enjoyed our time at BusinessOulu's OuluHealth stand, where we've had the chance to meet many interesting professionals from the Finnish healthcare and health tech world. With such active exchange of ideas happening all around, events like these are without a doubt where the future of healthcare takes shape.

Last winter was an exciting time for the Vitacam team. From a pilot in elderly care, culminating in a newly released case study, to further steps towards establishing ourselves in the UK market, these past months have surely kept us busy. As we continue our way further into spring 2022, more is yet to come as we'll take on conferences like HIMSS and continue to spread the word.

It's a wrap! Day 2 of the Eurocities Economic Development Forum live from BusinessAsema, Oulu, has drawn to a close. Taking part in their ”Get to know Oulu” session was a great opportunity not only to demonstrate our Vitacam solution to a whole new audience, but also to show our appreciation for all the support we've received from the city of Oulu over the past few years. BusinessOulu and have been a great help on our journey so far, and we hope to see it continue as we take new steps in developing our product.

NE Device SW Quality Management System receives ISO 13485 certification!

The NE Device SW QMS used in the development of Vitacam remote monitoring was audited by notified body SGS Fimko Ltd. and found in accordance with the international ISO 13485 standard. This is an important step for us as being ISO 13485 certified is a mandatory requirement for any company looking to design, develop or sell medical device software.

Developing and certifying our QMS has been a valuable experience as we transition to our own product, as well as a great reminder that quality design is an ongoing process.

In late April we announced our participation in KasvuOpen 2020 for Finnish SMEs. Today we are happy to bring you some exciting follow-up news: NE Device SW has been selected as one of the two winners of Future Health and Wellbeing category, progressing us to the national top 60 consisting of all winning companies. The final top 10 and eventual winners will be selected by the end of October, so more excitement is yet to come.

Our upcoming remote monitoring solution Vitacam was commended for its resource-efficient, cost-saving and scalable model. The jury also noted the credibility of the team as a factor in their decision.
