Viatronics Delivers SVR-3 Pro units to Ministry of Environment in Peru. National Meteorology and Hydrology Service of Peru - SENAMHI obtained significant number of SVR-3 Pro units in December 2017 from EnviroEquip, which is Viatronics local representative and reseller in Peru.

Radar for Surface Speed Determination
During periods of rain, in which river overflows occur, it is impossible to determine the speed of water masses with traditional methods, therefore, a reliable, precise and safe method that allows the determination of this parameter is necessary.
The technology we provide for this problem is that of Radar Pistols, which allow the evaluator to determine the surface velocity of a river or other water currents at a safe distance and with a high degree of precision so that, under extreme conditions, they do not run risk both the evaluator and the team. It is the perfect tool during floods and wastewater management.
The radar handheld model SVR-3 PRO brand Viatronics, operates under the Doppler principle, where sound waves are emitted that bounce off the surface of the fluid change frequency and correlate this change with the speed of moving particles, calculating thus, the speed of the fluid.
This technological solution will allow researchers from the various interested institutions to obtain the appropriate information in this type of extreme situations, thus achieving the corresponding prevention and evacuation plans.
Thus, in December 2017, SENAMHI acquired an important number of hand-held radar guns SVR-3 PRO for measuring the flow of rivers in overflow situations. To do this, Enviroequip carried out the corresponding training, contributing so that this institution can then determine the flow of the rivers during the climatic phenomena that affect the country on several occasions.

Pistolas Radar para Determinación de Velocidad Superficial
Durante épocas de lluvia, en la que ocurren desbordes de ríos, es imposible determinar la velocidad de las masas de agua con los métodos tradicionales, por lo tanto, es necesario un método confiable, preciso y seguro que permita la determinación de dicho parámetro.
La tecnología que brindamos para esta problemática es la de Pistolas Radar, las cuales permiten al evaluador determinar la velocidad superficial de un río u otras corrientes de agua a una distancia segura y con un alto grado de precisión para que, en condiciones extremas, no corran riesgo tanto el evaluador como el equipo. Es la herramienta perfecta durante inundaciones y manejo de aguas residuales.
La pi***la radar de mano modelo SVR-3 PRO de la marca Viatronics, funciona bajo el principio Doppler, en donde se emiten ondas sonoras que al rebotar en la superficie del fluido cambian de frecuencia y correlacionan este cambio con la velocidad de las partículas en movimiento, calculando así, la velocidad del fluido.
Esta solución tecnológica permitirá a los investigadores de las diversas instituciones interesadas, obtener la información adecuada en este tipo de situaciones extremas, logrando así llevar a cabo los planes de prevención y evacuación correspondientes.
Es así como, en diciembre del 2017, SENAMHI adquirió un número importante de pi***las radar de mano SVR-3 PRO para la medición del caudal de ríos en situaciones de desbordes. Para ello, Enviroequip realizó la capacitación correspondiente contribuyendo para que esta institución pueda luego determinar el caudal de los ríos durante los fenómenos climáticos que afectan al país en diversas ocasiones.
