Hi everyone, we would like to introduce you to our new Head of Developers Community, May Masson! 🎉

Hi, my name is Mayara Masson, but feel free to call me May. I’m the new Head of Developers Community at Immersal. I’m also the human mom of Lady, a mix between German Shepherd and Border Collie. Lady was a stray dog who I rescued back in 2020 in Brazil, now she lives “la dolce vita” with me in Italy.

I was born in Vitoria, Brazil, lived for 5 years in Ireland, and have been living in Bergamo Italy for almost two years now, with plans to move to the happiest country in the world soon. I speak three languages, Brazilian Portuguese, English and Italian. One side note, I've just started learning Finnish on my own.

Yes, I love learning new languages and new stuff, I have to confess that I’m addicted to learning. I get mad if I spend one day without learning something new.

On the professional side, I have over 10 years of experience assisting customers from end users to c-level executives in multinational enterprise companies. I have over 6 years working in tech, from Customer Support Specialist, passing through Product Support Engineer and Customer and Product Success Manager to Head of Developers Community.

We are excited to share that we were part of taking the MLB Home Run Derby & All-Star Game to new heights with the MLB Next app 🚀⚾️

Powered with Immersal’s Visual Positioning technology, the MLB Next app combined virtual and physical worlds overlaying real-time data on top of the playfield in Augmented Reality. Through our collaboration with Nexus Studios, T-Mobile, and Major League Baseball (MLB), fans were able to see 3D visuals over the field like ball distance, launch angle, and player information. The groundbreaking MLB Next app also included features such as a 3D Strike Zone visualization with replays, a 3D bird's eye view of the field, and 5G-enabled low-latency audio of the live ESPN and FOX broadcasts which was powered by Mixhalo. 🙌

This is a huge milestone for sports entertainment and we are honoured to have been part of it! 💪
