TRANSACT is a European-wide project with a goal to develop a universal, distributed solution architecture for the transformation of safety-critical cyber-physical systems (or, for those who love acronyms: CPS). Fleetonomy.ai leads a use case where the goal is to demonstrate the remote operation of autonomous vehicles in urban context and how to ensure a safe transfer of control between the vehicle and a remote driver. TRANSACT offers a framework where localised standalone systems are transformed into safe and secure distributed solutions leveraging edge and cloud computing.
