Life in Covers helps you easily go through the online history of your digital life, choose the layout, and print your online moments inside a physical book. Life in covers is a service which allows collection of people’s digital footprints from all over the web (Facebook posts, tweets, blog posts, updates, conversations and messages, pictures etc.) and produce printed good looking book. User has possibilities to filter chosen content sources and content itself, define and customize layouts of the book(s). Finished good looking book will be delivered in few weeks after placing the order.

Just another step has taken, in Life in Covers development: last night I got an email telling me that content source integrations are just about ready, done. Next step is to test how integrations are working and fix the bugs. Kind of exciting to start testing as we are not having only one or two content sources but many more. And mixing all those different sources and content from them will be providing interesting views into our digital lives..

At the moment we are looking to have (at least!!) following content sources supported in Life in Covers at the May launch: Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Instagram, Linkedin, Gmail, Google Calendar (Android phones!!), Blogger, Wordpress and Tumblr. Oh, and we should not forget RSS feeds as via them you can include content from almost any kind of sources; your football team news, Lady Gaga's tweets, news, blogs and whatnot!!!

Hmm.. Perhaps I should save for another moment some other fancy features like weather reports, maps etc. :) ..

Sample page from the first printed prototype Life in Covers books. Several mistakes can be spotted (both content management and typography & layout) but we did learn a lot, and are putting learnt things into practice.
