There are plenty of ways to switch off after work. Heading to the woods with a bunch of great colleagues isn’t a bad one. 🍂

A group of Digians got lucky with the weather for their after-work forest adventure in Uutela. In the middle of a rainy week, they landed on a sunny autumn evening, with a little swan family casually completing the scenery. 🦢☀️

A walk through the forest, food around the campfire, and chatting until it got dark. Turns out that’s a pretty good way to clear your head and broaden your usual circles. ‌

That’s the best thing about our open clubs: a reason to get together outside work and meet Digians you might not otherwise cross paths with. This forest adventure was organized by Digia Young Professionals, one of our nearly 100 OpenClubs.

One of the most important decisions of the year was on today’s agenda: choosing the coffee beans for our office coffee machines. ☕✨

Together with a coffee expert from Slurp, a cheerful group of volunteers tasted five different coffees, compared flavor profiles, and debated the finer details of medium and dark roasts.

For many of us, coffee is much more than just a beverage. As Ville Lindroos, Integration Architect, put it:

“Coffee plays a huge role in my workday. My morning starts with coffee at the office, and after lunch it becomes important again in the afternoon. I prefer drinking coffee at work. It tastes good, and you can enjoy it in peace.” ☕
