We are happy to announce that Hugo Gävert has joined us as Chief Data and AI Officer and will lead AI development at DAIN Studios. Hugo is a passionate AI evangelist who has been at the forefront of the application of in business for the past 20 years. Prior to coming to DAIN, Hugo worked in various roles, from to product development to product owner at Sanoma, Nokia and Xtract AI and OP Financial Group.

🚀 What is most exciting about DAIN Studios for you?
The ! The brilliant people working here. Not to forget about all the interesting customer cases, ranging from AI strategy to ex*****on in various industries, that spark my interest.

🚀 What is your secret work skill?
Ahem, if I had one, I would probably keep it a secret 😉

🚀 What excites you and scares you the most about AI?
I’m exited about all the possibilities analytics brings into our lives. AI is just technology and math, nothing scary about it. I’m more worried about how people use it. And I don’t mean accidental biases or so, those can be found from the models and remedied. I’m worried about intentionally using analytics to harm or manipulate people. This includes not caring about the secondary effects some public AI might have for society.

Our office has received quite a summer upgrade with all kinds of sun protection and plants. What impressed us most is the effect of the heat protection films. We can now sit at our desks in the sun without feeling like we're in a greenhouse. What cools down your office in summer?

Our team is growing and we're happy to introduce Kronsbein, our new Senior Data Strategist. With his former agency dlighted, he pioneered in the field of , combining Data and Design Thinking. At DAIN Studios he will help us to further develop DAIN's unique Data Strategy Approach and provide new tools and formats to our playbook.

"I often see myself as some kind of translator. Trying to make Data Science and AI digestible, I learnt how to turn complex issues into easier understandable chucks of information."

"Personally, I believe that it can make our lives so much easier than it is doing it it already nowadays. However, I think there is the risk that a few dominant players are dictating the way we behave as a society and hence it is absolutely vital to educate people on this issue and upskill their ."

We dug deep and came back with some team analytics: did you know that we are 27 colleagues from 10 different countries of origin who have studied at 24 different universities in 19 cities in 9 countries? Molecular Materials, Process Engineering, Theoretical Particle Physics, Environmental Change and Management, Digital Pioneering, Bioinformatics, Advanced Economics and Finance - you name it, we cover it. We are proud of our diverse team, which holds a total of 9 PhDs, 2 MBAs and 23 Master's degrees, plus one more to come as Kate is currently working on her Master's in Data and Discourse Studies. We wish her much success!
