As of January 16th, the Chinese Government requires app stores to register with the Government. This is good news for western game developers as it will make it more difficult for illegal copies of games to be published on the Chinese market. To publish mobile games in the official app stores require that the game property is registered with government agencies, which also protects the intellectual property of the developer.
