Osallistumisemme kansinväliseen ESTA konferenssiin meni osaltamme erittäin antoisasti. Paljon mielenkiintoisia keskusteluja ja kontaktointia.

Päällimmäisenä suuri uutinen! Olemme aloittaneet yhteistyön Arcus-Müsingin, maailman ainoan huippulaatuisia hiilikuitujousia valmistavan yrityksen, kanssa. Meillä on nyt laaja valikoima Arcus-ja Müsing jousia kokeiltavaksi Viulumossa.

Ja niille, jotka hiilikuitujousia epäilevät, vartokaas vähän. Kokeilkaapa ensin. Ovat aivan eri laatua kuin mihin on totuttu.

Our participation in the international ESTA conference was a highly rewarding experience, filled with interesting conversations and valuable networking.

Avaamme tänään Viulumon syyskaudelle 2026 ja palaamme normaaleihin aukioloaikoihin. Ovemme on auki maananataina, keskiviikkona ja tirstaina klo 14-16 ja muina aikoina (ma-pe) sopimuksen mukaan. Aukioloaikamme päivittyvät nettiin ja nettisivuille tämän päivän aikana. Tervetuloa! 🏡

Today, we are opening Viulumo for the autumn 2026 season and returning to our regular opening hours. Our doors are open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and at other times (Mon–Fri) by appointment. Our opening hours will be updated online and on our website today. Täällä ollaan toiseksi viimeistä päivää edustamassa Viulumoa kansainvälisessä ESTA konferenssissa Sibelius Akatemian R-talolla. Hyvä viikko on ollut keskiviikosta lähtien. Tärkeitä keskusteluja asiakkaiden ja muiden paikalla olleiden yritysten kanssa. Täällä ihmiset saivat ensi kertaa nähdä mitä uutta Viulumon sisällä tapahtuu. Tästä pian lisää, pysykäähän kuulolla!

Viulumo vieraili tänä vuonna ensimmäistä kertaa Kaustisten kansanmusiikkifestareilla omalla Viulumo-ständillä. Osallistuimme myös Pelimannitalolla esitykseen ”soittaja kohtaa soitinrakentajan” , jossa Philip Holm esitteli kanssamme vuonna 2015 kehittelemä ompelukoneesta valmistettua soitinta nimeltään Räätäliira.

Kokemus festivaalista oli hyvin positiivinen ja mielellämme osallistuisimme tapahtumaan myös tulevaisuudessa. Kiitokset ystävällisille festivaalijärjestäjille ja aina mukavalle festivaaliporukalle. Toivottavasti nähdään myös ensi vuonna! ❤️

Viulumo took part of the Kaustinen Folk Music Festival () for the first time with our own stand. We also took part in a ”musician meets instrument maker” presentation at the Pelimannitalo venue, where Philip Holm showcased the ”Räätäliira” -an instrument made from a sewing machine that we developed together in 2015.

The festival was a very positive experience, and we would love to participate in the event again in the future. Many thanks to the friendly festival organizers and the always-delightful festival visitors. We hope to see you again next year! ❤️

Jonatan Flores is 42 year old violin maker from Zacatecas, Mexico. He is the son of sculptor Sergio Flores and learned from him to work with many different materials such plaster, aluminium, paper, clay and of course wood.

At the age of 18 he began his work and studies in Luthery in Xalapa, Veracruz, with the master Archetier and Luthier Octavio Aranda. Later he started working in the workshop of the Master Luthier Arael Landa from whom learned the Cremonese method of violin construction. In 2005 he opened his own luthery workshop focused mainly on the construction of violins and violas. Years later he moved his workshop and residence to the city of Querétaro where he continued to enrich his training by attending courses taught by Luthiers such as Francois Denis, Cláudio Amighetti, Cristián Rault and Pablo Alfaro. Since 2013 he lives and works in the city of Zacatecas.
