Today we introduce our lively sales manager Jonna Kaila.
If you have ever met her, you know what an energetic personality and contagious laugh she has. Jonna has been working in the sales team for two years and is responsible for sales, customer acquisition and customer care. She trains new customers on our system and manages the whole project cycle, from introducing the cloud service to installing our locking mechanisms.
As a young girl, Jonna started working in sales in her father's family business, the fourth generation representative of a headstone engraving business. The job offered young Jonna the opportunity to learn about sales, quarrying, sandblasting and heavy machinery. The result? Jonna handles cranes and customers effortlessly and has a lorry driving licence! Thanks to the sensitivity she has developed working in her family business, she knows how to face clients in a human and dignified manner.
"People say I am good at my job because they feel they can approach me easily, that they can rely on my word, and that I am genuinely interested in people."
In addition to selling headstones and mobile access systems for Bitwards, Jonna has worked for Vattenfall selling market-prices exchange electricity and as a logistics coordinator for Nokia. Last but not least, she has worked as an accountant and in the market information service for the food industry sector.
Jonna has a bachelor's degree in economics from the London Metropolitan University. Upon moving to Finland, her working life took over her Master's degree plans. One of the characteristics of UK-issued degrees is the work experience one has to gain before proceeding with the Master's degree. While studying, Jonna spent time in the USA as an exchange student and au pair.
To counterbalance her work, Jonna works out and takes long runs in the rain. She loves heavy metal music, and going to concerts has been her passion for years. Pantera and System of a Down are among her favourite bands.
And what is her superpower?
"Cold calls! I love it, and I am good at it. When making cold calls, one must be well prepared, know what to say and say it in the shortest time and most understandable way to agree on arranging a meeting. Furthermore, I am fully myself during meetings and can create a relaxed atmosphere. I also enjoy discussions, and I can rationalise skillfully".
