What are we doing now?

Well, thanks for asking. Currently, we are developing our Spatial User Interface. Unlike the interfaces you are used to, Taika Ring doesn’t rely on screens or displays. Instead, your movement is the input - where you are in space, how you move, and where you point. And on top of all of that, there are no cameras tracking you.

Our next step is to get the interface to developers. In the meanwhile, stay tuned for updates.

As owners of smart homes, we were overwhelmed by the complexity of controlling our devices. The remote controls that come with these devices are often complicated and most of the time you have no clue what half of the buttons are for. Too many times we also inexplicably lose them and a month later find the remote control in the weirdest place. But weren’t smart homes meant to make your life easier, not the other way around?

We decided to figure out a solution for this instead of waiting for one and created the Taika Ring. Taika Ring is the easiest solution for controlling all your devices with one remote. As the name suggests, it is a ring that works by pointing towards any of your [smart home] devices with a few designated finger gestures. Aside from the convenience of being able to control everything with just one device, Taika Ring minimizes the issue of privacy concerns and the awkwardness that you may experience with voice control devices such as Alexa or Google Home. With the Taika Ring, controlling your home has never been easier.

Because smart homes are still a relatively new concept, their use is often daunting. With multiple devices at your home, controlling them becomes more time-consuming and using a different remote control for each device can be difficult.

We at Taika Tech have created a solution that reduces the number of remotes to one. With Taika Ring, you can manage your home through a few simple finger gestures pointed towards the target device. Controlling your smart home has never been more convenient.

We are a growing team of young innovators from Finland with one goal in mind: To simplify the use of smart home technology. We bring a new perspective to the world of the smart home market with our diverse team and ever-changing ideas.

In other words, we are constantly working on new designs and solutions to simplify the world of smart homes and improve their user experience. Our current focus is on finalizing and making our product available to you.
