HelloCash is a mobile and agent banking (Mobile Money) service provided by banks and microfinances in partnership with Belcash as a Technology provider. Mobile and agent banking is a form of branchless banking which uses a mobile phone device to access a bank account and retail outlets of merchants who provide Registration, Deposit and Withdrawal services in behalf of the financial institution. stomers are able to make and receive money transfers and pay bills using their mobile phones and local merchants are used as mini branches for the financial institutions with the role of facilitating the registration of new customers and serving as Cash Deposit and Withdrawal access points
Merchants are registered for HelloCash to be part of the agent network for a financial institution and generate additional income through financial services. HelloCash users access their accounts using a mobile phone through IVR, USSD, SMS and online web portal as a complementary channel. The service is available in 5 languages [Amharic, Oromifaa, Tigringa, Somali and English] allowing a customized and friendly user experience.
