The deadline is no longer moving 📅

This week the European Commission published its simplification review of the EU Deforestation Regulation. Some of the biggest updates since the law was first introduced 👇

What matters for cocoa & coffee supply chains:

🟢 Entry into application: 30 Dec 2026 for large & medium companies
🟢 Small enterprises: 30 June 2027
🟢 Clearer guidance on geolocation modalities
🟢 Simplified declaration forms for micro & small operators

The tools are getting clearer. But the deadline is real, and it’s closer than most think.

For years, companies delayed — assuming another postponement was coming. The Commission has made it clear: simplification is done. Enforcement is next.
