When I am mixing to picture, I want the waveform on the screen I am actually watching.

Live Waveforms keeps up to four Pro Tools tracks over the Video window, sample-locked to the playhead. Dialogue, music, clip gain, fades, markers and mute state stay visible while the picture remains the centre of attention. The overlay is click-through and follows the Video window as it moves.

Why Kaizen?

In 2006 I was designing the logic of a lift in an engineering class. Years later I was mixing films at Blacktone — and somewhere between those two points, a TV parody of Game of Thrones forced me to program my own snow footsteps in Kontakt against an impossible weekly deadline. That urgent fix became Foley Collection, the first foley sampler on the market.

The field recordings I had been gathering for our own projects became Surround Sound Lab. The tools we kept building for daily sessions became the plugins and apps we ship today. Same pattern every time: a real need in the studio, a solution that works, a tool someone else can use.

Kaizen (改善) means continuous improvement — small daily steps. It describes this journey much better than any idea of total reinvention. Kaizen Audio is where all of it finally lives under one name.

PRISM is coming soon.

Every visualizer. Every meter. Every tool — on every screen.

Run PRISM locally as an AAX, VST3 or AU plug-in, or use the same toolkit across the network on another Mac or iPad. Every screen has access to every visualizer and tool, and each one can be configured independently for the job you want it to do.

In this setup, the Mac is running the complete analysis board, while the iPad is configured as a dedicated Multi-Meter Bridge for the selected stems. That’s a choice, not a limitation.

Stereo to immersive — and the stereo stays intact.

Some upmixers open beautifully into Atmos but trample the stereo image you started with. Others keep the stereo intact but never really open up the way the mix wants. AXIS gives you both: push a stereo source up to 9.1.6, and the fold-back to stereo is bit-exact. Same master, both ways — that’s Downmix Lock.

This year we recorded our traditional fireworks session in Majadahonda using the SPCMIC third-order ambisonic microphone and our Multichannel REC iOS app, developed a few months ago.
