Internet Web Solutions hosts multiplier event to present the results of the NICHE 2 Project
Internet Web Solutions (IWS) hosted a multiplier event for the European project NICHE 2 on 8 July 2026 at the premises of project associated partner Arrabal, in Málaga.
The event brought together 17 participants representing the project's target groups, including entrepreneurs, intangible cultural heritage (ICH) practitioners, professionals and other stakeholders interested in the preservation, development and sustainable management of cultural heritage.
The event provided an opportunity to present the NICHE 2 project, its objectives, development process and main results, giving participants an overview of the work carried out throughout the different phases of the project.
Supporting the green and digital transition of cultural heritage
NICHE 2 is a Cooperation Partnership in the field of Vocational Education and Training (VET), co-financed by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. The project aims to empower practitioners working in the field of Intangible Cultural Heritage with the knowledge, competences and practical tools needed to navigate and contribute to the green and digital transition, while supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Building on the experience and results of the previous NICHE initiative, NICHE 2 focuses on capacity building, innovation and sustainability within the cultural heritage ecosystem. The project has developed tailored training resources designed to respond to the evolving needs of professionals and practitioners working with intangible cultural heritage.
During the multiplier event, participants were introduced to the different stages of the project's development, from the initial identification of needs and the development of training resources to the final implementation of the project's educational and digital tools.
Particular attention was given to the NICHE 2 training programme, which provides learning resources aimed at strengthening the competences required to address environmental sustainability, digitalisation and sustainable development in the field of intangible cultural heritage.
Introducing the NICHE 2 online platform
A key part of the event was the presentation of the NICHE 2 online platform, where the project's training materials and resources are hosted. Participants were able to explore the platform and learn how its digital resources can be used to support professional learning and competence development.
The platform provides an accessible environment through which practitioners and other interested stakeholders can access the project's educational content and benefit from the resources developed within NICHE 2.
The event also offered an opportunity for participants to exchange views and provide feedback on the project's results and resources. The discussions highlighted the relevance of providing cultural heritage practitioners with practical tools and accessible learning opportunities to respond to the challenges associated with the green and digital transformation of the sector.
The multiplier event in Málaga formed part of the project's wider dissemination and exploitation activities, helping to raise awareness of NICHE 2 and extend the reach of its results beyond the project partnership.
Through initiatives such as this event, Internet Web Solutions and the NICHE 2 partnership continue to promote the development of a more innovative, sustainable and digitally prepared cultural heritage ecosystem, supporting professionals and practitioners in adapting their skills to the changing needs of the sector.
