One of our customers, a leading encoder manufacturer, needed to test many pcbs at the same time without having to depanel the units first. Besides this, our customer needed to perform the process in a platform that took up a reduced space.

Integrating all their test requirements into a single machine, which had to be as small as possible, was quite a challenge, but we managed to solve it thanks to our compact 6TL08. With this desktop solution we met our customer’s specifications in a quick and cost-effective way, and also integrating our Phi6 software for an easy operation.

The high voltage matrix by 6TL allows switching up to 48 test points with different voltage options (5, 10 and 15 kV), so that isolation or Hipot tests can be performed. Thanks to the fact that it is a matrix, several tests with different configurations can be executed on the same product without having to rewire the test equipment.

Our mechanical engineering department designs customized fixtures for our customers products. To meet the testability goals, custom-made parts and devices are developed in order to achieve 100% coverage of the DUT.
In addition, we perform a simulation of the stress suffered in the system due to the test needles and look for alternative solutions if needed to avoid damages in the DUT.
