Egypt's Central Bank has issued new rules permitting non-contact payment transactions over smartphone apps such as Apple Pay and Google Pay. Consumers may now register their payment cards on electronic device apps and use them to make payments at electronic point-of-sale or online purchases in an easy and secure way.

Several multinational firms, like Apple Pay and Google Pay, alongside other financial technology companies, will have their services activated as a result of the laws. This measure is intended to save banks both resources and time while also enhancing financial inclusion in Egypt.
