Microsoft Working on Smartwatches !

It looks like Apple's interest in wrist-wearable computing devices aka smartwatches may have triggered the eternally late Microsoft, to begin groundwork on smartwatches of its own. According to a Wall Street Journal report, Microsoft is in the market for components needed to build such a device. Specifically, the report states that Microsoft is looking for 1.5-inch touchscreens. Unless Microsoft plans to deploy these touchscreens in its next-generation Xbox "Durango" controllers, it's likely that the company has an active smartwatch project in progress.

مايكروسوفت تبيع أكثر من 100 مليون نسخة من ويندوز 8 منذ اطلاقه



اخيراً و بعد طول انتظار ظهرت احد التقارير الرسمية من فبل شركة مايكروسوفت عن مبيعات ويندوز 8 الذي تم طرحه بالأسواق منذ شهر أكتوبر السابق، و قد اكد رئيس القطاع المالي بشركة مايكروسوفت Tami Reller ان مايكروسوفت استطاعت ان تبيع اكثر من 100 مليون نسخة من نظام تشغيل ويندوز 8 منذ ان تم طرحه بالأسواق.

لم يعطي Tami Reller أي توقعات من قبل شركة مايكروسوفت بخصوص مستقبل ويندوز8، و لكنه اكد علي النظام يسير علي ما يرام فان نسبة استخدامه و مبيعاته في الأسواق تزداد بشكل مستمر، و الجدير بالذكر ان رقم 100 مليون نسخة يشمل جميع إصدارات نظام ويندوز 8 بينما فيهم Windows RT و المخصص للأجهزة اللوحية الخاصة بشركة مايكروسوفت.

حتي شهر يناير السابق كان قد تم تبيع 60 مليون نسخة و لكن مبيعات النظام ازدادت في الفترة الأخيرة لتصل الي 100 مليون حتي وقتنها هذا.

و تؤكد التقارير الجديدة التي اصدارتها مايكروسوفت هذا اليوم علي ان نظام تشغيل ويندوز 8 لم يكن منتجاً محبطاً لهذه الدرجة فقد استطاع ان يحقق مبيعات جيدة حتي الآن و هذا علي الرغم من ان احصائيات موقع NetApplications data تشير فقط الي ان 3.82% هي نسخة استخدام ويندوز 8 حتي شهر ابريل السابق.

Microsoft to Reveal Windows 8.1 / Blue This Month – Report


Rumor has it that Microsoft plans to launch the first beta version of Windows Blue next month at the BUILD developer conference, but a new report claims that all details might be revealed in the next couple of weeks.

Citing Microsoft’s Windows CFO Tami Reller, The Verge writes that the final designation, pricing, and packaging details are likely to be unveiled one month before the BUILD developer conference, most likely because Microsoft needs to stir up interest in the new Windows release.

“Blue is an update. That’s a good way to describe it, that’s a good way to think about it,” Reller was quoted as saying, while also adding that Microsoft’s new Windows version would be focused on touch, new form factors and addressing customer feedback.

A Start button might also return in Windows Blue, even though Reller hasn’t said anything official about it. And still, the company is currently pondering such an option, in an effort to focus on the customer feedback we’ve told you about.
