قالت الممحاة للقلم:
كيف حالك يا صديقي..
رد القلم بغضب:
أنا لست صديقك... أنا أكرهك...
قالت: بدهشة وحزن... لماذا..
قال لأنك تمحين ما أكتب...
قالت: أنا لا أمحو إلا الأخطاء.
قال لها: و ما شأنك أنت
قالت: أنا ممحاة وهذا عملي..
قال: هذا ليس عملا..
قالت: عملي نافع مثل عملك.
قال القلم: أنت مخطئة ومغرورة،
لأن من يكتب أفضل ممن يمحو...
قالت: إزالة الخطأ تعادل كتابة الصواب...
صمت القلم برهة ثم قال: بشيء من الحزن ،، ولكنني أراك تصغرين يوما بعد يوم ..
قالت: لأنني أضحي بشيءٍ مني
كلما محوْتُ خطاء .....
قال القلم بصوت أجش:
وأنا أحس أنني أقصر مما كنت...
قالت الممحاة وهي تواسيه:
لا نستطيع إفادةَ الآخرين،
إلا إذا قدّمنا تضحية من أجلهم...
ثم نظرت الممحاة إلى القلم بعطف بالغ قائلة: أما زلت تكرهني؟...
ابتسم القلم وقال: كيف أكرهك
وقد جمعتنا *التضحية*...
في كل يوم تصحو فيه...
ينقص من عمرك يوم...

فإذا لم تستطع أن تكون قلماً لكتابة السعادة في قلوب ألآخرين فكن ممحاة لطيفة تمحو بها أحزانهم لتبث الأمل والتفاؤل في نفوسهم بأن القادم أجمل بإذن الله..
