Summary:
------------
Ensure the project is completed on time and within budget, that the project's objectives are met and that everyone else is doing their job properly. Project manager oversee the project to ensure the desired result is achieved, the most efficient resources are used and the different interests involved are satisfied. Project manager should provide technical assistance and leadership to the team to ensure successful software development.
Functional Responsibilities:
----------------------------------
• Experience in source code is a must.
• Manage all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Responsible about review design and architecture of software systems.
• Responsible about development of new systems from the ground up as well as modify existing customer systems and adding new features.
• Responsible about ensuring the deployment packages include features as planned.
• Responsible about ensuring the quality of product matched the company standards.
• Provide technical and functional support to testing and support teams.
• Responsible about ensuring the ex*****on of unit tests as part of the continuous integration process.
• Mentor development team technically.
• Participate in gathering and evaluating new requirements and creating functional and technical specifications.
• Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management.
• Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
• Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities.
• Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required.
• Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion.
• Carrying out risk assessment process including risk mitigation and follow up.
• Manage project staff according to the established policies and practices of the organization.
• Execute the project according to the project plan.
• Ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured.
• Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.
• Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project.
• Prepare and communicate reports on the project for management and for stakeholders
• Ensure that the project is updated up to date.
• Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.
• Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.
• Perform any other related job duties as requested by the direct supervisor.
Managerial responsibilities:
----------------------------------
• Provide assistance and leadership to the team.
• Motivate the team members keeping them accountable and responsible.
• Assign and distribute tasks among the team.
• Ensure the readiness of development environment.
• Supervise and monitors Software development team performance.
•Conduct performance appraisals sessions to his team members.
Qualifications:
-----------------
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent discipline is preferred.
• A minimum of 8+ years of experience in software development or of relevant experience with 2+ years as lead or manager responsibilities preferred.
• PMP certification is preferable
• Solid knowledge and experience with software process and methodologies (i.e. CMMI, Agile, Scrum).
• Proficiency with development tool, and TFS Source Control.
• Proficiency in programming languages, programming models and frameworks.
• Proficiency in web services, WCF, RESTful services, Entity Framework, Enterprise Library is a preferred.
• Experience in design patterns and developing component architecture.
• Solid experience in managing software projects and software development teams.
• Experience in clarifying objectives, dealing with ambiguity/under-defined problems, advocating for simplification, and influencing teams.
• Ability to enable business capabilities through innovation.
• Proven ability to clearly communicate deliverables, timelines, budgets, risks, milestones and the critical path of multiple projects
• Ability to access and communicate the implications of proposed resource and scope changes and related policies, procedures, standard and best practices.
• Expertise with MS Project or equivalent project management software tools.
• Experience developing comprehensive requirements analyses, product and project specifications.
