While participating at the Digital Medicine Conference Luxembourg 2022 and listening to Professor Dr. Bjoern Eskofiers talk on AI for Future Healthcare, several topics came up that is at the centre of what we do.
To ensure the continuous improvement of the medical services provided by doctors, hospitals, and other medical professionals – more data is needed. Specifically, more data on how doctors’ advice, treatments, and medicine effects different patients. In other industries – take for example e-commerce – everything is measured! From customers seeing an ad, to online buying steps, to different routes of delivery and finally customer satisfaction. All data that now over the years, has resulted in an extremely streamlined industry. We need to do this in healthcare. How many of you give your general practitioner feedback after consultation? Or call the hospital with details of recovery? No one I know does that – but we properly should.
Of course, randomly calling your doctor will not as such help, but as Dr. Eskofiers argued in his session – there is a need to collect more data and faster. As data is owned by the patient, every individual person must make a conscious decision to share or not share their data.
At Softbrik we are already working with companies collecting clinical survey data, and our voice enabled survey/questioner AI driven system, gives patients an easy way to provide their feedback. See more at https://softbrik.com/healthcare/
