Our business development manager, Diana went to TechBBQ in Copenhagen for the first time. And, well… she came back with stories. 🇩🇰

TechBBQ is all about startups, founders, and the people behind them.
There, you can just walk up to someone, say hi, and suddenly you’re networking.
Also, you can get a tattoo at one stand and co-write a song at another. So, guess who's going to release a song soon? 😁

Then there was the Danish approach to networking:
”Every speech started with a beer. Almost every conversation did too.” 🍻
By day two, it felt like everyone knew everyone.

For FTL, this TechBBQ was the first and definitely not the last.

Recently, we asked our CEO, Denis Yakovenko, how he disconnects from work and prioritizes self-care.

His approach is pretty simple: you don’t have to switch off from work completely. Sometimes, you just need to switch your attention to something that requires your full focus.

In his case, it can sometimes mean… piloting a plane. Not what you expected, right? Well, we have pretty cool hobbies of our own:
“When you’re in the cockpit, you need to be focused on weather, navigation, and how not to die. You simply can not answer emails. It forces you to be here and now, and after landing, it is important to give yourself some time before jumping back into endless work.”

We’ll take that as a good reminder to put the phone away sometimes and just be present.

AI agents can do more than just write code.

Our developer Vlad Ruchko took a practical look at how AI agents can fit into everyday engineering workflows and turned it into a hands-on article.

He connected Claude with GitHub and YouTrack using MCP and built workflows that can review pull requests, find related tickets, create tasks, prepare testing checklists, and follow the team's own processes.

10 років тому з’явився Faster Than Light.

Якщо чесно, це звучить трохи божевільно. Бо за ці 10 років було все. Факапи, дедлайни, проєкти, які не спали ночами разом із нами, “та там на годинку роботи”, релізи в п’ятницю ввечері, глобальна пандемія, повномасштабна війна, відключення світла, генератори, старлінки й ще купа всього, чого точно не було в бізнес-плані.

Але найцінніше, що сталося за цей час — це люди.

Якимось дивом вдалося зібрати команду дуже різних, дуже талановитих, дуже впертих людей. Професіоналів, які можуть створювати круті продукти для клієнтів з усього світу, а через п’ять хвилин сперечатися, хто зʼїв чужий обід на кухні. Часом взагалі є відчуття, що працюєш не в IT-компанії, а в дуже насиченому дитячому садочку. І, чесно кажучи, саме за це ми її й любимо.

Ми багато разів помилялися. Переробляли. Вчилися. Наступали на граблі. Іноді навіть на ті самі. Але щоразу ставали трохи сильнішими, трохи розумнішими й набагато досвідченішими.

За ці 10 років ми зрозуміли одну просту річ: компанію будують не офіс, логотип чи кількість проєктів. Її будують люди. Саме вони допомагають проходити всі складні періоди, підтримують одне одного, жартують у найнапруженіші моменти й роблять так, що навіть після найважчого дня хочеться повернутися завтра.

Дякуємо всім, хто був і є частиною Faster Than Light. Клієнтам — за довіру. Команді — за професіоналізм, терпіння, гумор і віру, що все вийде.

10 років, це гарний початок.
