This week, we celebrate the launch of the updated Med24.ee platform!

Med24 is one of the key sources of medicine-related information for healthcare professionals in Estonia. This project was an amazing opportunity to make access to med industry insights more easy, fast and user-friendly. For the people we trust with our lives every day.

In this project, the Kodality team designed and built the core architecture that the entire system runs on, ensuring integration between multiple 3rd-party systems, performance, scalability, and a smooth user experience.

We are proud to contribute to tools that support those who care for others.

Continuity of care increasingly depends on how well healthcare connects with other sectors.

In Estonia, a new cross-sector event-driven exchange enables earlier social services support for families after a qualifying paediatric diagnosis - without sharing sensitive medical details beyond healthcare.

For clinicians, nothing changes at the point of care: the diagnosis is recorded as usual, with no extra forms or follow-up coordination. For families, it means fewer weeks of searching for who to contact for the right support and what services apply - and fewer repeated explanations and submissions of the same information across multiple organisations. For municipalities, it enables earlier outreach and more coordinated support.

In collaboration with the Estonian Health and Welfare Information Systems Centre, Kodality implemented the secure event exchange behind this service. We share the full story in the article below.

You’re also comfortable with:
- Java
- Spring Framework
- Angular or similar front end frameworks
- Developing automated unit tests
- Oracle or PostgreSQL databases

A state-level week for Kodality in London and Oxford, 6-9 October. Our CEO Maksim Zukov, COO Maksim Boiko, and Client Partner Nataliya Balkunova joined the Estonian HealthTech delegation during the President’s visit to the UK to road-test our Estonian-scale interoperability playbook against NHS priorities. We focused on policy alignment, procurement pathways, and data quality for AI-ready care - grounded in real conversations with NHS leaders and ecosystem partners.

Highlights:
• Policy and industry alignment with ABHI and a productive business-matching track
• A candid exchange with Prof Vincent Sai of Modality Partnership on what primary care really needs from suppliers
• A press lunch with President Alar Karis to align on digital health, data, and UK–Estonia collaboration
• Meetings and sessions at HETT Show with NHS leaders - spotlight on the keynote by Ming Tang about making the analogue-to-digital shift real
• Numerous discussions around FHIR integrations, SNOMED CT and mappings, data-quality controls for AI safety, and procurement pathways
• Immersion in the Oxford innovation network at Freeths and The Oxford Trust’s Wood Centre For Innovation - where ideas meet scale
• Space for culture and community at the Barbican Centre Concert “Adam’s Lament” conducted by Tõnu Kaljuste.
