Why does PV inverter with high-speed MPPT algorithm require high-speed PV simulator?
When the MPPT tracking speed becomes faster (the scanning speed from Voc to Vmp becomes faster), it means that the adjustment speed of the voltage and current followed by PV simulator also needs to be accelerated synchronously, otherwise the delayed response will cause the tracking to deviate from the IV curve or cause oscillation. During the entire simulation test process, the PV simulator is also required to have very high sampling and calculation speed. Otherwise, when the inverter's tracking point has changed but the device has not been sampled, the test will also be abnormal. Furthermore, if the speed of the algorithm is slow, even if the voltage change at the tracking point is sampled in time, the new current value cannot be obtained quickly, which still result in test failure. According to the test regulations of the inverter industry (IEC 62116), the current dynamic response time of the power supply is required to be less than 1ms.
