Juba sel sügisel alustab esimene kood/Moldova lend! 🇲🇩
Sellega seoses käisid Jõhvis vastuvõtukatsete nädalal ehk Selection Sprindil põnevad külalised 😁

Teiste seas oli kohal ka üks kood/Moldova asutajatest, Moldova endine asepeaminister Dumitru Alaiba. "Moldoval on digitaalseks transformatsiooniks õiged koostisosad. Meil on väga sõbralik maksusüsteem ja väga hea infrastruktuuriühendus. Oleme väike riik, kus kogu territooriumil on kiire internet, 99% territooriumist on kaetud kiire internetiga," sõnas Alaiba

Tema sõnul on kõige olulisemad inimesed. "Peame pidevalt leidma ja koolitama talente, sest olulised on inimesed, kes selle kõik võimalikuks teevad. Ja see ongi koodikooli mõte. Me oleme väga põnevil, et saame sellest osa võtta," lisas Alaiba.

Lisaks, viie tegevusaasta jooksul oleme valmis saanud juba kolmanda uuendatud õppekavaga, mis tuleb kasutusele sel sügisel. Maailm muutub koos tehisaruga väga kiiresti, kuid tänu oma väiksusele ja praktilisele õppeformaadile saame ka meie kiiresti õpet kohendada vastavalt sellele, mida tehnoloogiamaailm ja tööturg päriselt vajavad 💻

Programmeerimist õpetav kool kood/Jõhvi on Eestist laienenud nelja riiki. Sel aastal käivitati kool Moldovas.

From Nairobi to Tallinn and a story worth reading. 🇰🇪 → 🇪🇪

This spring, three Kenyan software engineers - Jamie, Grace and Gilbert - travelled to Estonia through the Digital Explorers programme. They got to experience the home of //kood firsthand, working side by side with the engineers behind our product. Together they built an AI-enhanced peer-review system that hundreds of //kood students will soon use as part of a real product.

We're so proud that these bright and wonderful people got to be part of it. They weren't treated as interns but as full members of the team - asking the hard questions, challenging assumptions, and shipping something we can't wait to put in front of our students. 💙

The best news? They're not done with us yet. During the upcoming Nairobi sprint, Jamie, Grace and Gilbert will host a code review workshop, sharing what they learned in Tallinn, explaining what peer-to-peer review really means, and teaching you how to give the best reviews ever.

//kood is expanding in Ukraine! 🇺🇦💛

What a week. We welcomed our kood/Odesa and kood/Zhytomyr teams to Estonia and shared something special.

In Jõhvi, they jumped straight into Selection Sprint: experiencing the //kood model first-hand, watching peer-learning come alive and also meeting our very first Kood / Moldova sprinters. ✨

Then in Tallinn, two days of meetings that move things forward: with the Tallinn City Government, ESTDEV, TalTech IT College and our own //kood team. Curriculum, technology, talent, partnership: all on the table, all built together.

A huge thank-you to Estonian Centre for International Cooperation for your support, this is what makes //kood in Ukraine possible.

One mission across countries, one //kood family. And we're just getting started.

Inbank tooteinsener ja //koodi vilistlane Egon Saks jagab oma lugu, kuidas tehnoloogias edu saavutamiseks ei piisa üksnes programmeerimisoskusest. Egon tuli tehnoloogiasektorisse rahvusvahelise äri- ja startupikogemusega ning otsustas sellele ehitada juurde tugeva tehnilise vundamendi.

Täna ütleb ta, et suurim arengukoht ei ole saada kõige paremaks koodikirjutajaks, vaid kasvada tervikliku mõtlemisega inseneriks.

See tähendab:
✔️ süsteemide ja arhitektuuri mõistmist,
✔️ tehniliste otsuste põhjendamist,
✔️ mõju nägemist suuremas pildis,
✔️ koostööd toote-, äri- ja arendustiimidega.

Ka Inbanki toote- ja tehnoloogiaüksuse operatsioonide juhi Tiiu Ehastu sõnul ei ole tänases maailmas peamine kvaliteedinäitaja enam see, kui palju koodi inimene kirjutab.

Üha olulisemaks muutuvad

✨ eneseväljendusoskus,
✨ kohanemisvõime,
✨ uudishimu,
✨ oskus kasutada erinevaid tööriistu eesmärgi saavutamiseks.

Just seetõttu keskendume //koodis praktilisele, projektipõhisele õppele. Eesmärk ei ole õpetada lihtsalt programmeerima, vaid valmistada õppijaid ette töötama päris tootetiimides, lahendama päris probleeme ja tegema läbimõeldud otsuseid.

🚀 Septembris alustavad 9. lennu õppijad uuendatud õppekaval AI-ajastu tooteinsener, mis ühendab tehnilised oskused senisest tugevamalt tootearenduse, AI kasutamise ja professionaalse inseneritöö põhimõtetega.
