What's the last thing that made you forget to check your phone for a while? 💬

For her, it's her adorable dog held up above her. Ears flopping, tail probably going a mile a minute. Doesn't know what day it is or what's next on the calendar. Just happy to be there with her, enjoying every bit of her undivided, loving attention.

Isn't it wild that this kind of attention is something only a dog ever really gets from us? 🐶

Avum was born out of frustration.

Our founder was juggling conflicting calendars, international meetings, and time zones that never seemed to cooperate. He tried the tools that existed. Some were genuinely good. But there was always a compromise. Always something missing.

And then came the thought that starts every great product:

"Why doesn't this exist yet? I'll build it."

So he did — and built it for everyone who's ever felt that same frustration.

No more "wait, is that CET or UTC?" No more double-booked afternoons. No more switching between platforms just to know what your day looks like.

Just your time. Finally aligned. ⏳

We could've launched with a landing page that looked like every other calendar tool.

Clean. Generic. Perfectly forgettable.

Instead, we kept asking ourselves really uncomfortable questions.

Does this sentence actually mean something?
Does this feature description sound like a human wrote it, or a template?
Would our first users feel personally welcomed and heard here — or would they feel like they're staring at a result of vibe coding?

We're still asking. Probably always will be. If you've ever landed on a SaaS page and felt absolutely nothing — that's what we're trying so hard to avoid.

Do you think we succeeded? 😁 Tell us your brutally honest answer in the comments ⬇️

What does it feel like to hang out with your friends without checking the time once? 💬

Sunglasses on, drinks in hand, three guys just sitting on a fence in the sun with nowhere else they'd rather be. No one glancing at a phone, no one mentally halfway to the next thing on the schedule.

A study published by Harvard found some interesting facts about the thing we are all guilty of doing.

Context-switching.

The numbers are striking - but I think we already know it. We feel it every time we jump between apps, lose our train of thought, and spend the next ten minutes trying to remember what we were doing in the first place.

So the problem clearly isn't willpower. It's fragmentation. When your tools are scattered and chaotic, your workday becomes unmanageable, too.

And your calendar (the one thing that's supposed to bring order) is often the most fragmented tool of all.

Avum can't fix every tab you have open. But it can make sure your calendars aren't part of the chaos 😉

Our calendars have gone out of control.

We were so busy building a software that helps people take control of their time, and ours accidentally slipped. Funny how that works 😁

So we sat down and got honest about what was actually eating our days. Four things kept coming up. We turned them into four non-negotiable rules.

And they helped more than we expected.

We figured you might be dealing with the same thing.
So here are the 4 rules we implemented.

Hope they help you the way they helped us ✨
