✨ Welcome to our new Backend Viking, Thomas Gravgaard Hansen ✨

Thomas graduated from the University of Southern Denmark in 2019 and has an MSc. in Computer Science. As our new Backend guy, Thomas will primarily work with C #, Go and Rust.

Thomas describes himself as a geek and loves to play computer games, board games and tabletop roleplaying games.

We are very excited to have Thomas on the team 🎉

We would like to thank our clients, coworkers, and collaborators for a wonderful year 🤩

As 2022 has been a challenging, fun and busy year for Viking Software, we wanted to share a brief overview with you.


At the start of 2022, Viking Software had 14 employees and was working on 10 ongoing projects.

With the year coming to an end, we now have 20 employees and at least 2 more will join us in the new year 🧍🧍

During the year we have begun 4 new projects, extended our contract with 5 of our current projects and completed a project as well 📋

It’s important to note that we treasure each of our clients and the faith you have in our abilities 🙏🏻


🟡 A few fun facts from the office:

🟡 We have an employee, who is born in New Zealand and everything he eats must have chili on it.

🟡 We have an employee with the last name Fisker (which means fisherman in Danish) and even though he doesn’t fish, he loves to dive.

🟡 Our employee Molly just became a Lady this year when she was given a plot of land in Scotland.

With this brief overview, we want to wish you a wonderful holiday and a happy new year ✨🎉

BØRNETELEFONEN ☎️
Do you know the Danish nonprofit organisation, BørneTelefonen (The Children’s telephone), which is a part of Børns Vilkår?
Children can call or text them and they give advice and listen to children in need of help - and it’s completely free and anonymous! They even have a Ukrainian line, so any Ukrainian refugee children in Denmark can get help as well.
Christmas is one of their most busy times, as abuse is more frequent in the holiday seasons.
Now you might be wondering - why is Viking Software talking about Børnetelefonen?
Well this year, Viking Software and our employees have decided to donate the amount that should have been employee holiday gifts to BørneTelefonen with the hope of doing a difference for some of the children in need this year 🙏🏻

Here at the office in Odense, it means enjoying our daily chocolate calendar and cosying it up with holiday sweaters, while counting down to Christmas Eve 🎄

How do you maintain a healthy work environment, while creating a feeling of belonging? This question is especially important when most of your employees are working remotely and in different countries.
At Viking Software we care about making sure our employees know how important they are.

Therefore, we have an annual get-together, where we meet to participate in a company workshop and spent some quality time together.

This year we started the meeting with an educational workshop, talking about knowledge-sharing and upcoming projects, followed by dinner at Restaurant Oluf Bagers Gaard.

The next day consisted of fun with a chocolate class at Odense Chokoladehus, an outdoor escape game by City Escape, and lastly dinner at I Pupi Siciliani.

However, the most important part of this year’s get-together was the Vikings spending time together and creating fun memories.

Viking Software would like to say thank you to all of our wonderful Vikings, we can’t wait to see you again next year.
