Heda aims to reinvent how we diagnose, treat and improve our health - by augmenting how health data is generated and used.
We believe too many people die and suffer needlessly because of the way diagnosing is done today. It is estimated alone in the US that between 40.000 - 80.000 die from misdiagnosing errors and around 12 million people are affected by diagnostic errors each year. This is horrible in itself and should be enough reason to trigger a manhattan-sized-project-response.
So this is our little attempt at solving the issue.
Why now... you might ask? Well because software and technology finally are at a level where it makes sense to try. Besides that the co-founders and supporters of Heda, have all in some form experienced the negative effects of a slow unreliable diagnosis process. Since we have experienced the problem - we can't unsee it.
Luckily we are not alone in trying to make healthcare better. There are many great doctors, and startups all doing their thing to push healthcare into the "future". Heda is our contribution, that may work or it may not - at least we hope that our ideas might help fuel the change that is so needed.
