We have heard the question before (from our grandmas and potential customers alike), so let’s break it down and once and for all get questions answered.

🐱‍🏍 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 in charge of a fleet or seagoing vessels. We call them operators.

🚢 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 that their vessels are cleaned when going from one sort of cargo to another. There are strict laws in place saying that operators (obviously) need to have a vessel’s hold cleaned when shifting from, for example, coal to grain.

☎ 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆
trying to find a supplier of cleaning products when one of their vessels is entering a certain port somewhere in the world. Perhaps they only need cleaning supplies to have the crew clean the hold or perhaps they are looking for an entire cleaning crew to clean the tank or hold.

🥱 𝗜𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗸 to find cleaning suppliers in a port somewhere around the globe. Sometimes you’ll find that the supplies are short-stocked and then the entire sailing plan is delayed, costing thousands of dollars. You want your vessels at sea transporting goods instead of waiting for cleaning supplies in port.

✔𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗤𝘂𝗼𝘁𝗲. We have developed a platform allowing the operators to make ONE request with a list of needed supplies or the specs for a cleaning crew. Our platform then sends this request to several thoroughly vetted suppliers in the port of your choice. Let’s imagine you receive 3 offers with varying prices and delivery times. You just choose what suits you the best. No need for the operator to contact a bunch of suppliers and dealing with them individually.

Chatting on Teams is fun, but nothing beats meeting face to face 😄

It was a great pleasure to meet so many old and new friends last week at ShipBroker’s dinner & events! 👋

We brought with us some of the New Features from our next BIG launch in CleanQuote...

NOW Operators can use CleanQuote to compare fleet consumption in regards to cleaning, set their minimum stock (applicator set, high pressure machines etc.), and easily get an overview in $ of the cleaning equipment remaining onboard their vessel, at all times.

This is part of our CleanQuote “Remaining on Board” feature, where you can also add the Master directly to fill out your vessel and requisition/ROB excel lists.
