Throughout history, humans have spread infectious diseases across the world. The coronavirus is the “Black Swan of 2020”, as a rare, unexpected event that probably will cause a massive impact, heavily influence global activity and could fundamentally alter the current business environment.
The "black swan" classification gained momentum a decade ago during the 2008 financial crisis. It seems that the board of directors and senior management of all companies were taken with their pants down with no contingency plans in lieu of the global Corona/Covid-19 virus, in spite of the past experiences from:
* SARS, 2002-03
* Swine Flu, 2009-10
* Ebola, 2014-16
* MERS, 2015- now

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is not explicitly a global law, but due to the material scope In Article 2 (Recitals 15-21) and the territorial scope in article 3 (Recitals 22-25) it is becoming a de facto universal standard on Data Privacy, Data Protection, IT And Cybersecurity Issues, as data knows no boundaries.

The new Indian Telecom and IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad recently announced that his top priority would be to “quickly” take the data protection bill to Parliament and notify the proposed amendments to the intermediary guidelines.

At the training and certification seminar, in Delhi and Bangalore, we will review the details of the data protection that deals with several components of privacy, the security of data and information of Indian citizens, localisation and data transfers.
