A couple of years later we introduced the CadConnect solution and shortly after we introduced the MakeToOrder solution. Today, customers using the standard Microsoft solution coupled with our solutions, has the necessary toolbox to run their manufacturing business efficiently in this digital age. The future

Was machen wir bei NAVEKSA? Poor data quality in manufacturing companies is responsible for increases in production costs of up to 30-40% (unnecessary indirect costs).

There is extensive discussion on failed or poorly functioning ERP systems in manufacturing, often attributed to factors such as insufficient resources from the customer side, inadequate user training, or ineffective consultants.
These are all valid points.

However, in my experience, the most critical aspect is often overlooked.

This crucial factor is 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚-𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 .

Many books have been written on various “failure” topics, but I will simplify it because it can indeed be simplified.

If you ensure that the following six foundational elements are in place, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐭 80% 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 100% 𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞, you will significantly increase the chances of your ERP implementation succeeding and delivering value.

Below is a checklist that should be addressed before exploring all the advanced features the system can offer:

• 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚: 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬, 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬.

• 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬.

Once these six points are fully addressed, you can start thinking about implementing or utilizing functionalities the system offers.

Are you competitive when it comes to delivery time? – The so-called standard production lead time is often based on guesswork:

The Production Manager (the macho type) says: “I can manufacture anything in 12 weeks.”
The Foreman says: “In our company, a single operation takes 1 week if the work time is less than 15 hours, otherwise 2 weeks if it’s less than 30 hours.” etc.
The Company Policy states: “All our products have a 10-week delivery time.”

Are these statements competitive?
That depends on who you ask.

But would you like to have shorter delivery times?

Delivery time is a competitive factor on par with price and quality.

If your delivery time is uncertain, it’s time to strengthen your production engineering team to generate accurate control data and consider implementing NAVEKSA solutions on top of your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

This way, you’ll be able to reduce delivery times and become more competitive.
