Neo Radio – Replacement for FM Radio When the FM Network Shuts Down

In several countries, including Switzerland and parts of Southern Germany, the FM network has already been switched off – and more regions will follow. If you own a Bang & Olufsen product with a built-in FM tuner, you risk ending up with nothing but static once FM disappears.

Neo Radio is the elegant replacement for FM radio for B&O products. Instead of using a bulky external DAB+ box with multiple remotes, Neo Radio gives you Internet Radio in DAB+ quality, fully integrated into your B&O system.

Simply connect Neo Radio via B&O Powerlink or Masterlink – it even works in link rooms such as the kitchen or bedroom – and enjoy your favourite stations exactly as before: just press the RADIO button on your B&O remote.

When the FM network shuts down, there’s no need to compromise on design, ease of use, or sound quality. With Neo Radio, you get Internet Radio for B&O – as if Bang & Olufsen had built it themselves.

The following products are fully compatible:
Beocenter 2, Beocenter 2300, Beocenter 2500, Beocenter 8500, Beocenter 9300, Beocenter 9500
Beomaster 4500, Beomaster 6500, Beomaster 7000
Beosound 3000, Beosound 3200, Beosound 4, Beosound 9000
Beosound Ouverture

This also applies to multiroom setups via Masterlink (R2 version includes full Masterlink support).

Additional Integration and Features:

RDS Support – Neo Radio displays station names and programme info via RDS, just like the original FM radio, even though the FM network is no longer active.

Enhanced Sound Quality – Sound quality matches a well-tuned FM station, as it uses the FM tuner in your B&O system.

Bluetooth Streaming – Stream directly from your smartphone or tablet to your B&O system through Neo Radio (Bluetooth 4.2).

Turntable Support – Neo Radio has a built-in RIAA pre-amplifier, making it easy to connect a turntable. (Check if your turntable already has a RIAA pre-amp.)
