As we have shared a few weeks back, the NTP Penta products have joined the DAD range of products on www.digitalaudio.dk.

This also means that we have moved all Penta activity to the DAD Facebook and Instagram profiles. And we have just broken the 20k mark, so if you haven't already done so, please follow us there as well. 👍

As we have already announced, the Penta family has relocated to the new DAD website. This also means that we will be moving the Penta-related activities on facebook to the DAD page.

Our Penta series has moved to a new 'house'. The Penta products share many things with the DAD products, and they truly complement each other perfectly.

Therefore, it makes sense to gather all of our products and solutions across the Penta and DAD Thunder | Core ranges on the same website.

Penta 721s-DNT doesn't take up a lot of rack space, but don't be mistaken - it's a Dante AoIP powerhouse! 💪

With the pre-installed Dante Car in the expansion slot, you get 192 Dante channels right out of the box, and you can even convert samplerate internally to match any audio environment you connect with. 😃

Did you know that there are several ways to control your Penta units in a tactile and remote way?

First, you can obviously use our Penta Control 615 series to tailor a workflow for a unita that may be in a machine room far away from your work place. But you can also hook up a DAD MOM monitor controller for hands-on access to a wide variety of the controls needed in the monitor control department. 👍

Penta 721s may look like its sibling - the DAD AX Center - when it comes to the form factor. So, what are the differences between these two units?

First of all, Penta 721s comes as a purely digital box until you may decide to install an Analog input or output expansion card. In other words, it would easily fit into your audio routing system whenever you need to convert between various digital formats such as Dante, MADi and AES. And as mentioned, if you need to add Analog inputs or outputs, you can do so - or choose to add even more Dante, AES or MADI channels. Or even 3G SDI connectivity.

AX Center can pretty much do the same, but it also comes with 2 Analog inputs with mic pres on the front, as well as 8 Analog outputs (4 line outputs and 2 stereo headphones out). And most importantly, it comes with Thunderbolt connectivity, meaning it can act as your main - and possibly only - audio interface for your computer.

In short, the DAD AX Center would likely be sitting on your desktop or a rack close to you, whereas Penta 721s may be sitting in a rack in a different room, solving conversion and routing tasks remotely.

The Penta Universe is actually part of a larger 'multiverse'. As many of you already know, Penta units and DAD units are united by the DADman control software that can act as a hub for connecting all and any Penta or DAD units in the same system.

Also, the DAD MOM monitor controller can be used with any Penta unit, and the DADlink protocol can connect Penta and DAD (or Penta Penta or DAD DAD) units at virtually zero latency.

In short, the DAD family is not like our distant grand cousins - DAD and Penta are like brothers and sisters in almost every way.

Take Advantage of Penta Products in Live Sound Applications

Live productions demand utmost reliability and durability, as well as potentially extremely high channel counts.

The Penta Universe is highly modular and as many units as you need can be linked. For instance, a single Penta 720 with 8 Dante cards can handle 1088 Dante channels, and each 128-channel card even has its own dedicated SRC, which allows you to route to for example high-resolution multitrack recording simultaneously with feeding the monitor and FOH consoles.
