Distributing menstrual pads is only part of the important work She for She Pads 🇺🇬🇩🇰 and their partners do to help end period poverty.

The story of Nambi explains menstruation in a simple and relatable way with the goal to make periods less scary, and encourage and normalise discussions around the topic.

When we worked with and the Halmos | Heartbreak to Heartstrong team last summer on a new visual direction for the app and the Halmos universe - the concept was still somewhat of a dream. A clear one, with plenty of potential, but the new app itself did not yet exist.

Does Copenhagen need more creative events?! We sure think so!

Even though this city definitely does deliver a huge amount of amazing happenings around design and creativity, we felt there is one thing missing from the map. Something a little less polished and a lot more…weird.

Because before all the beautiful results, the clean layouts, wonderful chairs and classy design, there is a big creative mess. Endless sketches, discarded prototypes, ideas that never quite “got there”.

And this side of creativity, is what we want to celebrate at B-side. What’s our weird? What’s our B-side to the A-side hustle? How do we come up with ideas? What shapes the way we see things?

Each event, we sit down with one exciting creative – not to talk about their work,
but about them.

Then we get hands-on with a workshop and activities built around it – before settling into what really matters: time to chat, connect, and hang!

New Chukster intern alert!

Meet Nora Barrios from Stockholm who is not only a graphic designer but also a fantastic illustrator. When she is not hanging out with us at the studio, making sense of posters and layouts - she can be found sketching, or experimenting with analogue animation techniques.

We’ve all been guilty of talking to our peers instead of to our customers. It’s a natural instinct - they GET us. Like really get us. They will be able to appreciate the small details, the skill, the art, the time that went into a process, a service, a framework or a product.

Our customers however, they look at our offering differently.

And while it can be difficult and even painful leaving out parts of your process in order to tell a clear story, never underestimate the power of a good plot.

Even Grandmas agree.

The new She for She Pads 🇺🇬🇩🇰 website is live 🌸

At first glance, the brief might seem simple. Build a clean, easy to use site that explains what the charity does, how the products are distributed and who to - and most importantly How To Donate.

A website that shows transparency and professionalism.

The challenge, however, was to do all that while keeping the warmth, authenticity and personality of SheForShe tangible at every touch point.

From balancing the colour, drawing custom infographics to selecting imagery that highlights empowerment and strength - this website is a clear statement for an organisation that has feet on the ground and genuinely cares about making a difference.
