Today is the day! Remember that doors open at 17:30 and the talks begin 18:00 in the auditorium. Volunteers will be around to guide you to the destination once you are inside the building. Look for the JAM t-shirts! Check out the map and event schedule at our website: https://levelonejam.com/

Please note that the program for today focuses on talks and group forming. We are closing shop at ITU after the group forming event. You will then be able come again Saturday from 8:00 am to make your game. If you wish to bring equipment, it may be better to wait until tomorrow. We can store gear over night if you do bring some.

Level One Jam is a yearly game jam that takes place at ITU. The game jam is an entry-level jam that is ideal for anyone who has never attended a game jam before.

Our last announcement of this year's line-up of speakers and workshops. We are really happy to be joined by Miguel Sicart, play scholar and associate professor at the IT-University of Copenhagen!

He is here to give a talk about toys Friday evening. More specifically, "About toys, or, a talk on the only thing you need to know about game design (except everything else you need to know about game design (which you probably already know anyway))".

Announcing our keynote speaker for Friday evening! Astrid Refstrup she/her is the CEO of Triple Topping games, a feministic, award-winning studio. Astrid was the co-writer and director of Welcome to Elk. She is also an advisor to the game fund Kowloon Nights.

She is going to talk about Making an Indie Studio: "What we did to change the way we work in starting up our studio - and why we did it. Startup culture is all about long nights, no salary, no social life, and hard work. But we can and should change that. This talk is a retro perspective and why we choose to do everything differently when starting our games studio"
