Hello, friends! We're excited to introduce you to Jenifer from Lloyd Language Services who moved into V74 in 2019. She owns a translation agency and before coming to V74, she worked from home, communicating by email with clients and freelance linguists around the world as well as translating everything from newsletters and websites to social media ads. “My colleague and I were looking for a change and we’d visited many boring and baren co-office facilities before coming to V74. Almost as soon as we stepped through the door, one of the other ‘residents’ looked us in the eye, smiled and said hi. We knew right away that this was the place for us,” says Jenifer, who shares the office with a freelance colleague, Thomas.
“As a one-person business, most of my contact with clients and language partners takes place via email and the odd phone call. The last time I tried working from home, I went stir crazy not having anyone to talk to. My office here separates work from home and keeps me sane. And talking with the other V74 residents during lunch and coffee breaks is just like having colleagues. We have a strong network here. We all work in completely different areas, which makes for some interesting conversations. And I always get valuable input when I have a work issue or just a question about Danish language or culture 😉,” Jenifer explains, continuing: “I love it here at V74. The atmosphere is sociable and friendly and the staff are so kind and helpful. This is my fourth co-office facility in 10 years. And I finally feel I’ve found the right place. I love coming into the office every day.”
With more than 20 years’ experience in the translation industry, Jenifer understands the needs of both business clients and freelance linguists. She founded LLS 12 years ago to meet a growing need for personal service, human language production and humane working conditions for freelancers in an industry strongly influenced by machine translation, AI and untrained freelancers. Jenifer and her team of more than 100 highly skilled freelance linguists offer the entire range of language services, from translation and editing to transcreation, copywriting and subtitling with the motto: “We don’t just translator words – we communicate your message to the world!”
