This week, the HealthBuddy team had the pleasure of welcoming a new colleague - Joshua 👏

In fact, here he is getting his professional headshot 📸

As the new Backend Software Engineer, Joshua is especially excited about specialising in backend development with Microsoft technologies such as .NET Core and Azure services - especially since RheumaBuddy has so much room to grow.

💭 “But it definitely motivates me that my work has a purpose, and I can help people with what I do best” and we can’t agree more.

When he’s not working on servers, Joshua loves to try new recipes 🥘, playing different sports 🚴‍♀️ and discovering Copenhagen - as he’s pretty new here 🇩🇰

We are beyond excited to discover all the great things we’ll do together – and how we can advance our HealthBuddy apps to a whole new level!

Co-creation is not a nice-to-have: it's a must-have for anyone who truly wants to engage patients and caregivers in empowered care.

The question is:
👉 How do we get everyone at the co-creation round table to work together and raise digital health services to the next level?

What we have learned is that sometimes, regular physicians and nurses have considerable knowledge of patients and their daily challenges coming from their front-line practice.

So, there's more than one reason why your projects should not ONLY include the top physicians.

We're thrilled to announce that we're growing our Agency team as we welcome our new colleague - Dorthe!

💬 "I joined Daman with the passion to help people with chronic diseases live a better life. By joining Daman, I'm able to combine my passion for technology and take part in the development of solutions that can help people have a higher quality of life"

Dorthe has experience as a Digital Project Manager and Product Manager from a wide range of companies including medical devices and wound care.

She loves to work in cross-functional teams and run innovative projects, product development as well as commercialisation and business process optimisation.

When she's not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and training people who want to take up running 💪🏃‍♀️

It's thrilling and exciting times in the office these days, as we are preparing to build the next-generation healthcare tool for 17.6M people 🚀

We are honoured to take part of SQUEEZE, an ambitious pan-European project in collaboration with 13 universities and university hospitals to discover new ways to maximise the impact of prescription drugs for people living with Rheumatoid Arthritis

Using digital biomarkers combined with our novel recommender engine for RheumaBuddy, we will focus on the development, implementation and pilot testing of to overcome the real-life daily challenges of drug therapy.

💥 NEW INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIP within

More than 5 million people around Europe live with Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA), which imposes a high burden on individuals, societies, and the healthcare sector.

Daman is partnering up with Janssen Pharmaceutica N.V. (Janssen) to develop a mobile application that will be used to gain insights into how patients’ everyday lives are affected by their disease.

It will be done by using the validated concepts of the RheumaBuddy app, already used by 20,000 people with Rheumatoid Arthritis over 35 European countries 💪

Collecting Patient Reported Outcomes (PROs) will enable Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies Of Johnson & Johnson to transition towards more holistic care, aiming at improving the quality of life of PsA patients.
