This week, four of our team members spent two days with KLM Flight Academy in Groningen. 🇳🇱

On a bright blue piano in their hallway, there’s a quote from Wilbur Wright: “It is possible to fly without motors, but not without knowledge and skill.” It fits the place well, and it fits why we were there.

KLM Flight Academy has been a FlightLogger customer since 2020, and the visit was a good reminder that the best product input doesn’t always come from a meeting room back at the office. It comes from the people running flight training every day.

We’re working on some of the biggest updates FlightLogger has seen in years, and getting to walk through them with a team like KLM’s, seeing their reactions and hearing their questions, was exactly what we needed at this stage.

We came home with a notebook full of feedback, and even more excitement for what’s coming next. More very soon.

Thank you to the whole team for having us. We’re already looking forward to the next visit. 🤝

Admal Aviation selects FlightLogger 🇲🇾

ADMAL Flying Academy, the pilot training division of ADMAL Aviation College, is moving its flight training operations onto FlightLogger.

The academy is growing in Kuala Terengganu, and the goal is one connected setup across the operation: scheduling, student progression, maintenance and CAAM compliance in one place.

“FlightLogger gives our instructors and cadets a single, consistent record of every training flight, from scheduling to grading, while keeping us audit-ready for CAAM.”
– Adam Syahmi Abd Malek, COO of ADMAL

Welcome aboard, ADMAL! We’re proud to be part of your next chapter.

A good landing starts with a good approach. So does your journey to becoming a pilot. ✈️

“I want to be a pilot. Where do I start?”

In Episode 2 of The Climb, Kasper Valgren asks Captain Abdulaziz Alshoail what advice he would give a student taking their first steps into aviation.

His answer: start with preparation. Build your skills, strengthen your English, and learn how to manage stress. These foundations matter long before you enter the cockpit.

And if flying is your passion, let it drive you to put in the work.

Scheduling is about to get a lot easier. 👀

We’re bringing something new and BIG to EATS 2026 - the feature flight schools have been asking for.

📍Come find us at Stand 115 in Estoril, 3–5 November.

14/10/2026

Don't focus on looking like a pilot. Focus on becoming one.

Today's aspiring pilots have access to more aviation content than any generation before them.

But Captain Abdulaziz Alshoail sees a downside.

Social media shows the uniform, the cockpit and the lifestyle. It doesn't always show the studying, discipline and setbacks behind them.

His advice?
Focus on your studies. Build your skills. Get curious. Go to maintenance. Understand the aircraft beyond the slides in the classroom.

The picture can wait. The skills can't.

What does it actually take to prepare today's students for tomorrow's cockpit?

Episode 2 of The Climb looks at flight training from the seat at the center of it all: the student's. 👨‍✈️👩‍✈️✈️

Kasper Valgren is joined by Captain Abdulaziz Alshoail, commercial pilot, flight instructor and founder of Eager Pilots, whose aviation education community reaches more than 150,000 people - many of them aspiring pilots.

They get into:
→ What aspiring pilots struggle with before training even begins
→ Why theory and discipline matter
→ How to choose the right flight school
→ The reality behind the pilot image on social media
→ How students can prepare themselves for airline careers
→ Technology and changing learning habits
→ What flight schools can do to create a better student experience

The recurring message?
Be prepared. Be realistic. And focus on building the skills - not just looking the part.

The Climb - conversations from the world's most ambitious flight schools.

09/10/2026

Do aspiring pilots really know what they're signing up for? ✈️

Social media shows plenty of the destination.
The uniform. The cockpit. The airline career.
But much less of what it takes to get there.

Next on The Climb, Kasper Valgren sits down with Captain Abdulaziz Alshoail, commercial pilot, flight instructor and founder of Eager Pilots, to look at flight training from the student's perspective.

They talk about student expectations, ATPL theory, choosing the right flight school, career preparation, social media - and the skills future pilots need before they ever reach the cockpit.'

🎙️ The Student Experience: Preparing Pilots for the Future.

Coming on Monday 12th October.

One of the first things flight schools can lose when they scale isn't efficiency. It's connection.

When OSM Aviation Academy was smaller, informal hallway conversations helped instructors and training leaders understand how students were doing.
As an academy grows, you can't necessarily rely on that anymore.

Niklas Algotsson explains why scaling creates a greater need for the right people, processes and structure to maintain that connection with both students and instructors.

Something new is coming at EATS 2026. 💻📆

For months, we’ve been listening to flight schools talk about where their week really goes - and how much time is still spent making schedules work.

We’ve been building something around what we heard. And at EATS, we’ll show it for the first time. 👀

Kasper, Lukas, Michael and Jesse will be at stand 115 in Cascais from 3-5 November.

Stop by to be among the first to see what we’ve been working on, or message the team to set up a time.

And if you’re joining us in Cascais, we’re also hosting a small evening for clients and flight training leaders on 4 November. We have a few seats left, so send us a message if you’d like to join.

See you at EATS! ✈️

This week, we hosted the Arcadea Group CEO Summit in Copenhagen 🇩🇰

For two days, leaders from across the Arcadea portfolio sat around one table overlooking City Hall Square, sharing how we’re actually using AI across our companies - what’s working, what we’re learning, and what we want to explore next.

“Being able to compare what’s actually working across different companies gives us a lot to take back to FlightLogger, both in how we work and how we continue building for our clients,” says our CEO Kasper Valgren about the Summit.

A big thank you to everyone who made the trip to Copenhagen: Arcadea Group, Waynova Group, Raspberry Software Systems, Becosoft, and PICit.

For us, AI is becoming part of how we build, work and scale at FlightLogger - both in empowering our own team and in creating more value for the flight schools using our platform. ✈️
