This wall-mounted adaptation of our UV222 Booth has been installed at the entrance to a Grade B cleanroom, adding a 20-second decontamination step to the existing personnel flow.

Using filtered Far-UVC at 222 nm, it offers a chemical-free, touch-free cycle for gowned personnel before they enter the classified area.

A new UV222 installation is now complete at Khorfakkan Hospital in the UAE.

The units have been installed and handed over in the hospital’s ICU ward, supporting its infection prevention strategy with continuous Far-UVC 222 technology.

Can environmental bioburden be reduced during normal cleanroom operations?

🧫 Case Study | Micro CRISPR

Micro CRISPR conducted a GMP-aligned, in-room demonstration of UV222 Cleanroom Downlights under active operating conditions.

Using a controlled three-phase protocol—UV off, UV on, and UV off again—settle plates were placed at critical cleanroom locations and tested in triplicate.

During UV222 operation:
• Bacterial counts decreased from 42 to 16 CFU—a 62% reduction
• Fungal counts decreased from 5 to 0 CFU

The results were achieved during normal occupancy, without interrupting the cleanroom workflow. No ozone excursions or visible impact on surrounding materials were observed during the evaluation.

A measurable example of how Far-UVC can provide an additional, continuous layer of contamination control in cleanroom environments.

Bringing Far-UVC 222 to the BioPharma conversation in India

Last week, our colleague Mads Emil was in Pune, joining key decision-makers from the BioPharma and vaccine production industry together with our Indian distributor, Ergoclean.

During the seminar, Mads presented “Continuous Contamination Control Using Human-Safe Far-UVC at 222 nm”, covering safety, efficacy, real-world results from pharmaceutical companies using our technology, applications, and practical implementation. 💡

Together with Ergoclean, we also showcased our solutions at the exhibition stand, giving attendees the opportunity to see the technology up close and continue the conversation.

And the journey continues.
