1. Motor Frequencies Far Below the Audible Range

Platter speeds: 33⅓ rpm → 0.55 Hz | 45 rpm → 0.75 Hz
Typical 15 mm pulley: motor spins at ~11.1 Hz (33⅓) to 15 Hz (45)
→ Motor harmonics & resonances fall squarely in the audible band (22 Hz – 120 Hz+): subtle unrest, nervousness, coloration
Quantum 168 mm pulley: motor runs at only ~1/10th the speed
→ Disturbing frequencies are shifted down into the single-digit Hz range and below
→ Result: pitch-black background, relaxed naturalness, music that breathes freely

The Quantum Drive represents a completely new approach to high-end turntable propulsion — engineered without compromise for ultimate rotational stability, precision and musical realism.

Unlike conventional drive systems, the Quantum Drive combines an ultra-low-slip large-diameter pulley concept with an advanced real-time Hall-generator feedback correction system. The result is exceptionally accurate speed stability, dramatically reduced harmonic interference, and a level of torque linearity that allows the platter to rotate with remarkable smoothness and authority.

Available in configurations with one, two or three motor pods, the Quantum Drive can be perfectly matched to virtually any high-mass turntable design. Multiple motor configurations further reduce load variation, minimize belt stress and optimize energy distribution across the entire drive system.

We consider the Quantum Drive to be the finest turntable drive system currently available because it addresses the fundamental mechanical weaknesses of traditional belt-drive concepts: slip, micro-instability and delayed energy transfer.

We are a little proud to announce that the first three units of the new Quantum Drive are finally completed.

The very first production series consists of only five units in total, and as with many true first-generation projects, the process turned out to be far more demanding than originally anticipated. In the end, production took considerably longer than expected and caused our technical team quite a few sleepless nights and headaches along the way.

But now, after countless hours of work, refinements, adjustments, and attention to every small detail, the first three Quantum Drives are ready to leave our workshop on Monday and make their way to their new owners.

What makes this especially exciting for us is that these units will soon be paired with some truly exceptional turntables. A Brinkmann, a TechDAS, and a DaVinci turntable are all about to receive their well-deserved upgrade.

As challenging as this first series has been, it also gave us the opportunity to learn and improve many aspects of the production process — especially regarding finishing quality, tolerances, and overall refinement. We are already looking forward to implementing these improvements in the upcoming units.

For now, however, we are simply happy and relieved to see the first Quantum Drives completed and ready to begin their journey.
