Henequén, also known as sisal, is a natural fiber deeply rooted in Mayan heritage and valued for its durability, versatility, and sustainability. Based in Yucatán, Mexico, Sisal Tejidos manufactures and exports high-quality sisal carpets for large-scale projects and wholesale distribution, producing around 50,000 m² of rugs per month and exporting to four continents.

A centuries-old fiber tradition. A highly complex production process at industrial scale. Sisal Tejidos Yucatán has chosen Asprova APS to schedule its production from raw fiber to finished rugs and mats.

The objective: to synchronize a complex, order-driven production process for highly personalized customer orders. With parametric engineering, Asprova APS will translate order-specific product requirements into feasible production steps and delivery dates across a process chain that includes burners, spinning machines, roping, warping, looms, treatment, cutting, inspection, embroidery, and finishing. A standout feature of this project is the use of Asprova’s Time Constraint MAX option, which schedules the production and consumption of dyed slivers within a controlled time window before their downstream use ensuring the consistent, world-class product quality that Sisal is known for.

Since 2013, Asprova APS has been scheduling wood processing at HS Baco Panels in Romania. Part of the Austrian HS Timber Group, HS Baco Panels operates the world’s largest blockboard plant, with an annual production capacity of 145,000 m³.

Before implementing APS, HS Baco Panels scheduled production manually in Excel and struggled with a huge number of orders involving looping processes. Orders ran out of sequence, with some being assigned months too early, and schedule gaps appeared, especially on core machines.

Today, Asprova is fully integrated with the local ERP system and schedules all four production lines end-to-end. Schedules are optimized for all processes, including pressing, sanding, trimming, kiln drying, chamfering, planing, gluing, sealing, and coating.

With Asprova, HS Baco Panels developed a tailored scheduling logic that manages their WIP being reprocessed on various resources, utilizing 100% of raw material.

The result: a transparent view of their production, both current and future, clearer bottleneck detection, reliable promise dates for new orders, and improved sequencing that manual scheduling could not handle. Orders now move through production with the shortest possible lead time.

Scholz GmbH delivers high-precision solutions across precision engineering parts, gear technology, microtechnology, and medical technology.

Since 2018, Asprova APS has been scheduling Scholz’s toolmaking end to end—covering molds for plastic parts with micrometer accuracy. Orders are synchronized across multiple processes, involving up to 60 highly complex components through to final assembly. Asprova APS schedules the production of ceramic tiles for STN Ceramica Group in Castellón, Spain. With a production capacity of 115 million square meters annually and an international presence in more than 140 countries, STN ranks second in Europe and among the top 10 globally.

As STN's business grew rapidly, by as much as 30% annually, the complexity of its production scheduling increased accordingly. Manually managing these intricate processes became unsustainable, driving the need for a robust, automated solution.

Since 2022, Asprova APS has been the backbone of STN's production scheduling across three production sites, with 24 ceramic tile kilns and multiple production lines. Asprova seamlessly integrates with MS Dynamics and schedules production end-to-end—from pressing, glazing, and printing to kilning, polishing, grinding, packaging, and palletizing.
