We were delighted to welcome young tech enthusiasts at Mercedes-Benz Tech Innovation!🤗

Some students of the "Computational Science and Engineering" (CSE) program at the University of Ulm visited us at our location in Ulm.

As part of a mentoring program, in which some colleagues are involved as former students of the University of Ulm, we were able to welcome some CSE students and give them insights into our work.

At first, the students were given a short presentation on the development 👩‍💻 of vehicle software as well as software development in large agile contexts. Afterwards, there was a short tour through our garages, laboratories and test rooms to show the students some exciting projects and the daily work of our software developers – from programming robots to checking cars regarding IT Security.

At the end of the meeting our hungry colleagues and students shared pizza 🍕 – all in all a very successful visit!💪

23,6% - is this enough?🤔

That's how many female colleagues we have at Mercedes-Benz Tech Innovation.

In a Germany-wide comparison, 16% of employees in the tech industry are women. Among female managers the number is even lower, with only 8%.
However, at Mercedes-Benz Tech Innovation, 30% of new hires and 22% of employees in management positions in 2022 were women. You can see most of our female managers in this picture together with our CFO Isabelle.

In light of this year’s International Women’s Day we do not only want to focus on numbers but on the added value a diverse workforce delivers. A good company culture embraces diversity and is rewarded with a greater variety of perspectives, experiences and backgrounds which ultimately leads to better results / products.💪

During a short tour through the premises, our executive managers Daniel and Isabelle gave Jan Brecht an update on current company issues. After that we started directly with our deep dive.
