🎯 bestehende Installationen sinnvoll weiterzuentwickeln,

In Frankfurt, we set the direction for the next phase of development. 🚀
At the end of July, product and R&D experts from across the ASSA ABLOY Group came together in Frankfurt, including specialists from the Guest Room Management and Energy Management businesses. Over three days, they focused on one key question: How can we bring together our respective strengths to create a scalable, integrated approach to guest room automation?
The focus was on our customers’ needs:
🎯 creating practical paths for existing installations,
🎯 supporting both new-build and retrofit scenarios,
🎯 simplifying operations across multiple properties, and
🎯 building a technological foundation that can evolve and expand over time.
The teams aligned on a common platform direction and defined the next steps. The concepts developed during the workshop will now move through technical and commercial validation and be further refined. 🛠️ This includes a common controller architecture, clearly defined thermostat roles, and support for both cloud-based and locally deployed operating models.
Ernst Franz, Team Leader and Director of Business Development and Marketing, who led the workshop, particularly valued the strong collaboration across the teams:
“I was impressed by how quickly we found common ground despite our different backgrounds. Once we started looking at things from the customer’s perspective, a highly productive dynamic emerged and the direction became clear: We’re creating a practical path from today’s installed solutions toward a more open, scalable, and customer-focused ecosystem.”
The results from Frankfurt will now feed into the next steps within The Vingcard Solution. Over the coming months, the teams will continue to develop these shared concepts – and we look forward to sharing more about what comes next. ✨👀
