Looking back at Woodrise 2025 – what an inspiring week!

Our team at Dietrich’s Technology North America had an incredible time exhibiting at Woodrise 2025 in Vancouver. Over four packed days, we connected with professionals from across the timber construction industry – sharing insights, discussing future collaborations, and exploring where digital tools can drive real-world impact.

A few highlights:

Great news: the patented wooden nails from BECK Fastening are integrated into our Horizontal Statics with our new software version V24!

Schon gewusst? Eins der Highlights der neuen Version 24: die Integration der innovativen LIGNOLOC® Holznägel von Beck. Damit können die patentierten Holznägel erstmals in der Horizontalstatik von Dietrich’s eingesetzt werden. Und somit mit der DC-Statik ganz einfach die Tragfähigkeit von Wandscheiben in Holzrahmenbauweise bemessen werden. 🤩

Übrigens: Die LIGNOLOC® Holznägel können neben der Bemessung auch für die Planung im Dietrich’s Konstruktionsprogramm eingesetzt werden. Also worauf wartet ihr noch? 🪵Watch out woodworkers! 🪵

Did you already know? One of the highlights of the new Dietrich's Version 24: the integration of the innovative LIGNOLOC® wooden nails from Beck. This means that the patented wooden nails can be used in the Dietrich's horizontal statics for the first time. With DC-Static, you can easily design an calculate the load-bearing capacity of wall diaphragms in timber frame construction. 🤩

By the way: LIGNOLOC® wooden nails can also be used for planning in Dietrich's construction program in addition to dimensioning. So what are you waiting for? You have the timber construction ideas, we have the sustainable fastening system with LIGNOLOC® and Dietrich's has the software for calculating and planning. 🌳🔩

Last Thursday on April 25th, Dietrich's Technology GmbH has organized the first edition of Dietrich's UK Users Meeting.
Thanks to the hospitality of NMITE University, the event took place in a wonderful timber designed building, the NMITE Skylon Campus.

We have presented to our customers a new model of coordinated design work in the Central Project and in the Central Model as well as new functions in Dietrich's Version 24. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAFk_m7xEJI
We also had the pleasure of hosting Laurance Parker from Simpson Strong-Tie, whose lecture about their connectors for wooden construction was an integral part of the presentation about Dietrich's CALCS for structural engineering. The “cherry on the cake” was the presentation led by Sam Long, from our partner company Leica. The topic of the presentation was the use of BLK laser scanners with the integration of point cloud in Dietrich's CAD/CAM. Such bundle will allow customers to take projects such as houses thermal modernization and Retrofit.

I would like to thank very much Steve Bertasso and Alex Knowles for their hospitality and help in organizing the first (certainly not the last) edition of Dietrich's UK Users Meeting, which was a first step to…..🤫

Last week, our colleagues were at this year's International Mass Timber Conference in Portland, Oregon, where they flew the blue Dietrich's flag high. Rochelle and Wil showed off our latest software version, which can save timber construction companies of all sizes a lot of time, money and queries through precise preparation. Many thanks to all participants who visited us at our booth. 💙
