This year marks the final time we have had the privilege of creating the key visual for Filmfest München after four successful years of collaboration.
Looking back, we are proud of an exciting and rewarding journey during which we helped shape the festival’s visual identity.
In addition to creating the annual key visual, our work ranged from the development of the festival’s new logo and a comprehensive typography and branding system for its various sections, to the design of the Children’s Film Festival (CineKindl), the FilmSchoolFest (now Festival of Future Storytellers), the ongoing evolution of the festival brand, and the creation of the CineWave Award sculpture.
Beyond these core elements, we translated the visual identity across the festival’s entire communication landscape, including billboards, advertising columns, wayfinding systems, digital displays, construction fences, banners, merchandise, and countless other touchpoints throughout the city.
Together with the Filmfest München team, we built a distinctive and contemporary visual identity that accompanied the festival through a period of remarkable growth. The increasing visitor numbers over recent years are a wonderful affirmation of this shared effort and vision.
This feels like the perfect moment to look back at the campaigns and visual concepts we created over the years—projects we remain incredibly proud of and that continue to hold a special place in our hearts.
We are deeply grateful to Filmfest München for their trust, openness, and collaboration over the years. We wish the festival continued success, inspiring stories, enthusiastic audiences, and many unforgettable cinematic moments in the years to come.
We would also like to thank everyone on our team, as well as all collaborators and partners, whose talent, dedication, and passion made these projects possible.
The new key visual, which will soon appear throughout the city of Munich, was also created by our studio and serves as the final chapter of this special partnership.
