The theme of recently finished creative event Scripta Zagreb organised by Lettering Daily | Max Juric and Jimbo | iPad Lettering & Procreate Brushes was “Change”. So a couple of months back MAX asked me if I want to contribute sth. to the exhibition in the event location (a museum!) during the event. So I did😍.

On pic 2 and 3 you even see the details of this Blackletter gothic-stylished lettering with flourishes. Talking about details, my LIVE talk here from last Thursday with Typetemple comes to my mind. We elaborated on details. Do they need to be precise, do they need to be small?…..But with this piece I wanna add another important role of details. Many artists are using details to give their work a personal touch, some might call it “signature style”. Many artist are adding details which are responsible to recognize the origin of their work for viewers on the spot without the need to look up at their account name.

See, details express also character, and if you want to develop your own style, think about adding some of them🤓.

Keep flourishing🌸

An alphabet I started but not really finished. Artist question for the ages: “When is it enough or when you need to do more”? 😅

Keep flourishing!

As you might know I am part of the organizing team of the Lettering Days in Munich on the 7th and 8th of November. Among a group of wonderful teacher I will be giving a workshop about Acanthus Leaves.

It looks like a different subject compared to flourishes but there are a lot of similarities.

If you happen to be in Munich in November, come to the Lettering Days😍🙌.

This Thursday Typetemple and I will talk about “Details” LIVE at 8pm (CEST). We are both passionate about details, in our work and others. But what are actually details, or do you need to know them to become a good artist? These questions and more we will be discussing + a portion of LIVE action to show you the very details in our work. Let’s do something creative together! See you Thursday🙌.
