In the latest World Panel by Hospitality Net, Dr. Michael Toedt was asked to share his perspective on the role of AI connectors in hospitality:

“Complexity is the biggest killer in B2C adoption. Consumers only embrace technology when it removes friction, not when it introduces another layer of setup, permissions, and integrations. The connector logic may work perfectly in a professional environment. Connecting Outlook to your CRM, or integrating sales tools into your daily workflow, creates value because these are systems people use constantly.”

Not because the is bad. But because hotels ask the wrong question.

Instead of asking:
❌ “Which CRM should we buy?”
The real question should be:
✅ “What role should guest data play in our business strategy?”

“Agentic AI is reshaping how guests discover and plan travel, but its impact will be evolutionary rather than revolutionary.

AI-driven travel planning has become standard for many consumers. This does not replace existing sales channels; it creates an additional and fast-growing one. For hoteliers, that means more complexity. In the future, hotels must ensure their products, content, and rates are accessible not only to OTAs and search engines, but also to AI-driven platforms.”
