An internship with the United Nations Environment Program in Geneva brought him to Europe. Since then, while he's purpusing a master degree at the Technical University of Munich, he worked in the energy unitility and tech sector, and also as a project manager in the heating industry.

Outside of work and university, Zeyu likes to go to the gym, play tennis or go snowboarding. He's really enjoys talking about energy transition and exploring the best places to enjoy a good beer in Munich. ⚡🍺

🎉 Celebrating 3 Years of AWAKE Mobility 🚍💙

Last week, we celebrated a major milestone as AWAKE Mobility turned 3 years old. We had lots of fun celebrating the anniversary with delicious cake and a bowling session with the whole team.

Looking back on our journey, we take immense pride in how far we've come. This progress is all thanks to our talented team, invaluable partnerships, and the unwavering support of our cherished customers.

Our story began in 2019 when Daniel Sattel introduced his high school friend, Daniel Tyoschitz, to Houssem Braham during Oktoberfest. Recognizing the growing importance of public transport and its maintenance challenges, along with their shared passion for mobility and data science, they founded AWAKE Mobility in October 2020.

We've come a long way since equipping our first bus and welcoming our first employee in spring 2021. We are very proud that we were able to create exciting job opportunities for more than 20 employees and continue to grow. Furthermore, in August 2022, we reached another significant milestone as we successfully secured a seed round of 4M EUR, a testament to our vision and potential.

Tiago describes himself as a cycling aficionado and can't help but evangelize about life on two wheels and the magic of slow travel via bus and train 🚴‍♂️ 🚌 🚅. Outside that, you'll find him at live concerts or nerding out on anything from quantum physics to world history.

Before hopping on board with AWAKE, he navigated a range of roles and sectors. He initiated his career in academia before venturing into the creation of Portugal's go-to photo-sharing platform in the early 2000s. Afterward, he held various positions, including CTO, business owner, partner, and most recently, assumed the role of product manager in the mobility sector.

Last week, we had a delightful time at our summer party! It was a great opportunity to come together and celebrate our collective achievements, hard work, and the housewarming of our new office.

📢 Exciting news and a big milestone for AWAKE Mobility! 🎉

We are thrilled to share an important moment in our journey as AWAKE Mobility. After more than two and a half years of remarkable growth, we are moving to our new office located at Paul-Heyse-Straße in Munich! 💙

This move marks a major milestone for us, highlighting the growth we've experienced and the dedication we have towards providing a great place to work for our expanding team.

We also want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to Werk1, our former office space that played a vital role in our early days. The nurturing environment and support we received there have been very valuable. Thank you, !

We went to the UITP in Barcelona, and we loved it 🤩!

Vahid Imani represented our company there and got to talk to many companies about their vision for the future. Especially topics like E-Mobility, Artificial Intelligence and Sustainable Mobility 🌱 were in the center of discussions.

We are very happy to have been part of this great event and look forward to the next one already. Many thanks also to transdev and Alstom for the inspiring talk about digitalization.

As true Munich people, of course we have to full-fill a nice cliché and enjoy the sun ☀️ in the English Garden.

Therefore, we spent our last team event enjoying the sun, having some beers, good food and playing Frisbee.
